Since 2001, our educational institution has worked with over 300 international students and 40 communities across Peru

Our projects always place community members at the heart of your stay with us, and by working alongside them you will be offered the chance to see the results of your work firsthand, ensuring that you will be left in no doubt of the vital contribution you have made to the lives of those most in need of access to clean energy.

Wind Energy Development and Design Series

A project based, educational program directed to any participant over the age of 18, whose goal is to earn experience and certification in the development of renewable technology for rural communities and practical social entrepreneurship. Each level builds from the previous and allows each participant the chance to deliver a tangible project that has a lasting impact on their career, academics, environment and local Peruvian community. We guarantee a unique education, rewarding and fun experience with this program.

E-learning

Spend a period of 5 days via our live virtual platform learning from experts in the areas of community development, fundraising and engineering. The short but intense first level will prime you with real world knowledge and put your learnings to the test with a project and certification on successful completion. Expand your current experience, sample the industry in renewable technology, learn social entrepreneurship basics and community engagement without sacrificing a huge amount of time or relocating.

Engineering Programs

In-person practical training

Spend minimum 4 weeks with the windaid team, other local and international participants. You will learn how to fabricate a wind turbine from scratch, gaining technical, hands-on experience in our workshop and travel with us to the rural community to engage with locals and work with them to install the wind turbine you fabricated. You will also have the opportunity to explore the city, Trujillo on weekends with lots of fun activities, and travel easily to many other areas of Peru and South America.

Internship Program

Choose a path from communication, social work, marketing or organisational development. Each will provide you with a unique project and goal that will be yours to own. The advantage here is that you get to work on a project that benefits your goals, simultaneously helping WindAid, the communities and more opportunities to travel, explore and have fun in Peru.
